Frederick (Freddy) J. Steimling, Associate

Attorney Frederick “Freddy” Steimling advises clients in business and real estate transactions and leverages his experience as a trial attorney to assist our clients in litigation matters. Freddy earned his undergraduate degrees from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University where he received his Finance (B.Sc.) and Labor and Employment Relations (B.Sc.) degrees. Freddy earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado.

Before joining Otis & Bedingfield, Freddy represented clients in complex commercial litigation in Colorado and D.C. courts. Freddy’s past clients include professionals, such as attorneys, financial advisors, corporate officers, financial institutions, telecommunications firms, and technology companies accused of breaching contracts and/or fiduciary duties. Freddy also provided regulatory defense to clients involved in investigations and actions by Colorado and U.S. regulators. When advising clients on transactional matters, Freddy brings a valuable perspective as a former trial attorney and litigator by considering how courts may interpret the language of a contract, as well as by considering how contractual provisions can serve to reduce a client’s potential liability prior to entering into an agreement. 

Freddy’s commitment to supporting Colorado businesses began as a student at the University of Colorado Law School, where he worked as a Student Attorney in both the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and the Technology Law & Policy Clinic providing entrepreneurs with foundational legal assistance. Freddy also volunteered at Denver Non-profit, Mi Casa Resource Center, providing legal advice to Spanish-speaking business owners. During law school, Freddy was elected and served as the Managing Editor of the Colorado Technology Law Journal. Freddy is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Boulder County Bar Association, and District of Columbia Bar Association.

Away from the law, Freddy nurtures an interest in the history of the American West and can often be found in the outdoors with his family.
