Otis & Bedingfield, LLC is proud to announce that James B. Godbold has been recognized by Super Lawyer Magazine as a 2020 Colorado Rising Star.
The 2020 Colorado Super Lawyers and Rising Stars’ lists recognize the top lawyers in Colorado based off a patented multiphase selection process involving peer nomination, independent research and peer evaluation. The list is reserved for attorneys who exhibit excellence in their practice. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state.

James earned his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and graduated cum laude from Indiana University-McKinney School of Law.
Shortly after joining OB in 2019, James was appointed as a member of the Larimer County Oil and Gas Regulations Task Force, a 15-member task force that will advise Larimer County on local regulations to supplement the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) and other state agency rules following passage of SB-18. He was also recognized as a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyer Magazine in the areas of Energy and Natural Resources (2015-2019) and Civil Litigation (2013-2014). He was named an Up and Coming Lawyer by the Indiana Lawyer magazine in 2012.
