Lia Szasz, Partner

Managing partner Lia Szasz’s practice focuses on business and real-estate litigation. Her forte is business divorces, where she leverages her extensive experience in litigating claims for judicial dissolution of an entity, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract. Lia has advised clients with more than $100 million in assets at stake in their business divorce, often with related real-property and accounting disputes. She is similarly skilled at representing commercial clients in contract disputes. With a solid background in the real-estate title industry, she also frequently assists clients with quiet title actions, partition lawsuits, and other real-estate litigation. Lia represents clients in state and federal courts, both at the trial court and appellate levels. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Wyoming.

Lia has been with Otis & Bedingfield, LLC since law school. While earning her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, she worked as a law clerk for the firm. She now serves as one of the firm’s managing partners and heads up the firm’s litigation department.

When not practicing law, Lia enjoys operating her modest cow-calf ranch with her family and utilizing her green thumb in the garden.
